Overview[]
The New Nationalist Front prides itself on what it calls ‘Centrist Nationalism’. The party is a strong advocate of Economic Liberalism and allowing the market economy to ‘function with as little government interference as possible’. The New Nationalists advocate a reduction in government subsidies of public services in order to increase competition and thus to deliver more cost effective services to consumers. The party champions the rights of citizens to own and utilize property for their benefits, and the rights of citizens to live their lives with as little government interference as possible.
Dr. Prevalšek, the leader of the New Nationalist Front, is a former medical doctor who forayed into politics after expressing deep frustration with the pace of reform of the National Healthcare system of Vauleyo-Buryatia. He blamed the slow reform and the poor results on government bureaucracy and lack of knowledge of the healthcare system. His championing the cause of anti-bureaucracy and anti-government waste rapidly propelled him to the leadership of the New Nationalists.
Dr. Prevalšek (age: 36) was born in Sygh-Varthys. He resides in Zhukovgrad with his wife and two children.
First Election[]
Although the New Nationalists did not win the first Parliamentary elections, they did manage to obtain 97 seats in the new Parliament, making them the third largest political party after the Party for Social Justice. Despite the election result, Dr. Prevalšek has expressed the desire to work with the new government led by Prime Minister Potusek.
