Lunar Outpost Athenia commonly referred to as Athenia is the collection of complexes the Athenian Federation maintains on the moon, currently commanded by Colonel Alexander Athanas it mostly consists of civilian scientists and other personnel. There is a small military detachment of around 10 soldiers to maintain order and base security.

Athenia Prime is the main compound of the Lunar Outpost Athenia, it is the seat of the Commander, has an armory, several science bays and several tanks of oxygen should something happen to the O2 plant in Athenia 3. Athenia Prime has several rooms and bays including a recreational bay with a television, computer, fitness equipment and other luxuries to maintain a population. A science bay with the most modern equipment for research and even a large hydroponics bay where fresh vegetables are grown for use in the kitchen of the base.
For security against system problems Athenia Prime is divided into numerous independent bays which can each be closed off by the heavy duty bulkheads in between, these systems were made to prevent the lethal environment of the moon to have an influence on the residents of the base.
Almost completely autonomous from all other systems is the Medical Bay which due to having its own power, food and oxygen supply could sustain itself for a few days in case of a systematic failure.

Finally, there is a semi-AI computer present on the base to assist the residents in tasks such as engineering, medical examinations and preparation of food. The computer also monitors the systems of the entire Outpost and has the power to lock off independent sub-sections. The system based on the ISIS network uses over a billion lines of code to give it a solution to almost any problem the scientists could think of.
