The Progressive Party of the Pacific, also known as the Solidarity of East Russian Peoples (1963-1969) and formerly operated alongside the Pacifican Government Organization (1973-1978 and 1985-1991), is the current ruling party in the Democratic Republic of the Pacific. The Party's history is synonymous with Pacifica's, so these two histories intertwine with one another. The Progressives initially founded the grassroots efforts for succession with the Solidarity of East Russian Peoples in 1963, the Republic of the Pacific in 1971, and the Democratic Republic of the Pacific in 1973. The party also played a major role during the first three Constitutional Committees of the Pacifican Republic, where its first leader, founder, and nation's first president Mikhail Zakharov played a leading role.
